The Omnipresent God Will Guide and Support You Always
Song: The splendour of the King,
clothed in majesty;
let all the earth rejoice, all the earth rejoice.
He wraps himself in light
and darkness tries to hide,
and trembles at his voice, and trembles at his voice.
How great is our God,
sing with me: how great is our God.
And all will see how great, how great is our God.
(Song: How Great is Our God, by Chris Tomlin)
Verse: Psalm 139:7-12 New Living Translation:
7 I can never escape from your Spirit!
I can never get away from your presence!
8 If I go up to heaven, you are there;
if I go down to the grave,[a] you are there.
9 If I ride the wings of the morning,
if I dwell by the farthest oceans,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
and your strength will support me.
11 I could ask the darkness to hide me
and the light around me to become night—
12 but even in darkness I cannot hide from you.
To you the night shines as bright as day.
Darkness and light are the same to you.

This week I have tried to get fitter by going to the gym but what I realised is that although you can vary the speed and the gradient of the session on your cross trainer or treadmill, it does not compare to being out in the open, in nature. After going to the gym I went to the shop and when I finished it was still light and I saw the sun beginning to set so I got in my car and tried to chase after it by going to the beach to take a photo. By the time I got to the beach the sun had already set and gone behind the cliff already. You can see the waning sunlight beyond the cliff. The truth is had you looked in the way opposite to the cliff you would have seen the storm rising on the other horizon. You can hear the sound of the sea rolling on to the beach, feel the wind rushing through your hair, see the sun disappearing over one horizon and see the big black clouds and the incoming darkness on the other horizon. The truth is God is omnipresent. He’s with us in the storm. He’s with us in the fading sunlight. He’s with us wherever we go. He’s with us even in the darkness and we cannot see a way out. His hand will guide us. His strength will support us.
It is my prayer that the Omnipresent God will guide and support you always, whether it be through a storm, through darkness, through fading sunlight. Have a very Happy Sabbath. May God bless you always. Have a wonderful Sabbath day.
